Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe International Airport (early) and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a Home to Africa assigned English-speaking professional driver-guide will receive and welcome you to Uganda – the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, you will drive west of the country to Lake Mburo National Park having a stopover at the Equator to take photographs. When you reach the park have lunch at the lodge and set out for a game drive through the park where you will take a glance on different animals like the Zebras that are found almost everywhere in the park. Later in the evening head to the lodge for dinner and spend a night.

Day 2: Undertake morning game drive and then, transfer to accommodation in Bwindi.

Enjoy your breakfast as early as possible then proceed for an exciting morninggame drive in the park. Expect to see the gigantic eland antelope, zebras in big numbers, topi, impalas, Buffaloes and other savannah animals. Alternatively, you may choose the morning bush/park walk (at extra cost USD 30 pp) in the presence of an armed ranger-guide. You will returnto your accommodation then check out and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda (harboring over 300 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population), including several habituated groups, which can be trekked. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next morning.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest and optional afternoon Community walk cultural encounter.

Have breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the accommodation for lunch and later if interested, head out for an optional community cultural encounter.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP via Ishasha sector in search for tree climbing lions.

Have your breakfast, and then depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park – one of Uganda’s most frequented tourist destinations. The park features diverse ecosystems called home by a variety of wildlife species - ten primate species (including chimpanzees), more than 600 bird species, and classic big games. En route, you will have a breathtaking game viewing experience in the Ishasha areasouth of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Hoping you get the chance to spot them, the sight will be spectacular!You will also be able to see other wildlife such as the Uganda kob, Cape buffalos, elephants and warthogs in addition to the tree-climbing lions then proceed into the beautiful Queen Elizabeth NP, arriving late afternoon (evening) and do little but justcheck into the accommodation and relax.

Day 5: Queen’s morning game drive and afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga Channel.

Be up early and have your breakfast. Proceed for a morning game drive to the Kasenyi plains and be on the look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants plus the big cats: lions, leopards (though hard to spot) among others. Return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. You will have dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 6: Morning game drive, visit to the baboon cliff and transfer to Kibale Forest NP.

After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive and also visit the baboon cliffs where you will be introduced to amazing and beautiful sceneries. Have lunch at the lodge and embark on your journey to Kibale forest national park which is home to Chimpanzees arriving in the evening and have dinner and spend an overnight.

Day 7: Chimp trekking Kibale Forest and the afternoon (evening) Bigodi swamp walk.

Have breakfast and head to the rangers’ post where you will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during chimp trekking. Thereafter, you will proceed to trek the chimps in the Kibale Forest. An experienced ranger guide will take you chimp tracking (Kibale Forest) and the presence of primates here will surely amaze you. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour in their presence. Return to your accommodation for some rest time and lunch. Later, go out for the Bigodi swamp walk. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is a fascinating area, located in Magombe swamp. This area boasts of extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primates’ species like the baboon, black & white colobus monkey. The Bigodi is also a paradise for bird watchers. Among the major bird species within the sanctuary is the Great Blue Turaco.

Day 8: Depart Kibale Forest NP and transfer to Entebbe Airport for your flight out.
